Yes I have done some searching around too. Dolmars parts seem to be a lot more reasonable than stihl and husky. I am looking forward to this project and saw.

It is finally here. Now it's time to go over it and figure out what is needed. To clean it up a bit and replace some damaged and missing parts. It is a nice clean saw for the age. Thanks Kevin and Nate for your help.

Well that is going to one of many pieces to get. Tore it down a few days ago. Needs main bearings, all the chain brake stuff and a good many small pieces. Ordered a 9010 non limited carb which is on the way from overseas. Waiting on a flywheel puller to get it off I tried all the pullers and knockers I have and can not get it to break free. I do wonder if the ignition is ok and it is just the bad main bearings causing the gap to close up. Even if it is I am still getting the 9010 ignition as it is to be better then the 9000 and have a higher rpm limit.

Yes it should be a fun project saw for sure. More money then I thought but i feel the saw is worth the money. I do like the simplicity of the design that Dolmar uses.

Yeah Nate started pointing out things on the saw that are NLA. Shame they just let the big saws parts fade away.

sadly those parts are just NLA in the USA. they NLA stuff as the demand falls off, since the 9000/9010 werent extremely popular to begin with the marked the parts NLA allot sooner than others.
