Is the whole mufffler made of stainless steel? Just trying to fig out on what to use. My ps-32 one of the welds are in a very tight spot. I am thinking of using a dremel too grind it out. Think it would work?

Thanks

I know this pic is from a PS32 muffler, but I would also rather use those dremel cutting wheels instead of a die to get out the cat.

Yep that what I did. Used a dermel cut off wheel went threw 6 of them doing it today. Looks just like the pic you posted. Now with the new fully adjustable carb on it runs 100% better. A whole new saw from what it was.

Thanks for the info
Jason

On my saw I opened up the muffler a bit more and it seemed to run better with the larger opening but to do it over again I would stick with the original mm. larger opening is just a slight increase in power and a drastic increase in noise. I enlarged the opening more and clamped the muffler and cover in the vise. Heated the deflector with a torch and used to ballpein hammers to form the deflector larger giving more area to the exhaust outlet. The original piece I removed is there to show just how much larger the opening is from what I normally do

And for those that only limb with these saws. They will pull and 8 pin with no problem but you need to trim the clutch cover first. It will self clearance but that little bit of plastic is much harder on a chain than wood.
