Thanks 660, as you can probably see now, I figured it out, I already had a Flickr account (its attached to my yahoo mail account) and gave it a try and it works. I dont have a photo bucket account, so thought I would try the Flickr first (just being a little lazy and not wanting another username and password to remember !

The sight lets you upload around 800k, which anymore, I think is about the size of an avatar.

Everything is allowed here with no restrictions on info etc.  Share away and Thanks.

The host photo here is limited as I pay for what is used. So if you got big pics resize or use a outside photo host IMO.

This is 85kb you just need to drop to 72 pixel.  Bad pic though. Click on thumbnail pics and they take on their real size. or like you know use outside host.

I think I would try and repair the 9000. Dont look bad at all IMO. Cylinder looks like it will clean up.  Good thread on that in how to's.

Figure out what killed it. Seals, crank bearings.  Lean from carb adjustment or air leak or old gas dull chain etc.

Cut4fun, that is why I posted here, I wanted a second opinion and to know what to look for. Can I get to the crank seals from the outside, to just look at their condition ? If they are good, I want to try and put it together. I know the flywheel has to come off, does that require a special puller, or will a standard puller take it off. Ive got 10s of pullers laying around, bridge pullers, all kinds of pullers. I rebuild transmissions...

Ive got a Meteor piston coming for it. That and the new carb and intake, I was hoping one of them would do it.

I run 90 octane recreational fuel in everything small engine, Im running Schaeffers 2 stroke oil, and I run 32:1 in all my 2 strokes, dont really care if they call for 50:1, still get 32:1. Ive still got some large 2 stroke honda toys, so I mix 5 gallons at time.

32:1 is great

These seals can be pulled from the outside. Some people will use a drywall or deck screw and others will use a hooked screw driver to pry the seal out.

You may want to save the old seals as you may want to get generic seals and use your old ones to help determine the size.

see if you can use your existing pullers on the flywheel?

Some people run the nut up to the top of the threads, hold or pry against the flywheel and bump the shaft with a brass or dead blow soft hammer and the flywheel jumps off.

The flywheel nut is right hand

The clutch has left hand threads

flywheel comes off pretty easy on most stuff by taking the flywheel nut off and using a deep socket that fits over the crank and seats against the flywheel. then just tap the socket with a hammer. parts are still common for that saw and reasonable in price. looks like the cylinder should clean up. new piston and whatever caused the air leak and you should be good to go. if you need it I can send you the service manual for it

I'm still cleaning cylinder by hand. But here is a top notch method in this video.
