little dolmar 100

is the dolmar 100 a good little saw?

im talking about the one with the vertical cylinder, not the hobby 100

If your talking about the 100s they are a great little buzz box have used one for about 3 years as a firewood cutter for softwoods  up to about 12 inch runs a 14 inch bar. The only hassle I have with mine is getting the clutch/chainbrake cover on something must be missing as I have to use a screwdriver to hold the band away from the clutch as I slip it on.  Paid 70 bucks for mine au $  It's hansdy to have a few small saws when your backs playing up and you need wood

i finally make this little saw run, but the blue coil on it is very limited. have to find a black one that will fit in there

I worked on those in the mid eighties, I wasn't impressed. They found favor with some tree companies because they were light and cheap. OK as a hobby saw but certainly not up to what I expected from S-D.
