Dolmar 133
« on: September 24, 2012, 02:45:21 pm »
My Brother has an old Dolmar 133 which has little use and is in good condition. The coil has stopped working (it is a double coil) and he is having a problem trying to replace it. Does anyone know where he could get one from please

Welcome to the site and good luck finding these parts.  Some info I dug up that might help you.

copy and pasted info below from others

Dolmar 133 Super has no spark,  pulled the flyweel off and found that the trigger and the coil are both Bosch units. The trigger has part number 1 217 280 112 and the coil 2 204 211 135. correct me if I am wrong but I think that both these parts are discontinued and have been replaced by the SEM ignition assembly part number 119 140 210 which includes the flywheel and the mag. plate assembly.

the old Bosch unit is NLA from the dealers and only luck would find an NOS unit sitting somewhere.
Any dolmar dealer should be able to get the SEM unit for you if they are still avaliable. My 133 was without spark and I got a setup from a dolmar 309 cut off saw that put the spark back into the 133 and its a good runner again.

I have suceeded in reviving a Dolmar 120 with the same ignition module part number.
The coil tested perfect and I replaced the trigger unit with a module ATOM similar to what has been used on many other small engines.
The saw works again perfectly.
The module I used is similar to OREGON 33-053 but a 1 wire version.

A Stihl 056 coil is also the same. The last 133 I got going I had to put a 143 coil/flywheel in it and it works fine. Keep an eye on ebay, they come up for sale every once in a while...
