You press the 272 coil winding onto the 6400 coil laminations armature frame minus one lamination leaf?
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
That knowledge can live after us... and that "Pays It Forward".
Be all that you can be . . .

Has any one tried the $5 Chinese coils yet to pull apart?

Mike, you mean pull apart and use as the coil portion on the Dolmar lamination?

Be interesting to test max rpm on an oem 272 coil and the Chinese version on the stock laminations. Wonder if they cut corners on the number of windings ?

That's what I'm wondering. If I'm going to butcher a coil why not try a super cheap one to start with. I haven't pulled the flywheel yet. Is the key made into the flywheel on those?
