It was run too lean one way or the other?

You need an opinion from Kevin if he thinks the cylinder will clean up?

If so, all you'll need is a Piston/ring and a base gasket?

There's probably a vacuum leak or the 7300 wouldn't have been lean?

Yea was wondering what to start addressing. Definitely leaned out for reason unknown to me. Prob wouldn 't hurt to have kevin look at it. No point in installing new p/c if its gonna do it again.

Jim he is up your way.  Next couple days I am still playing catch up. Just got back in today and further behind.
But got a major project  today out of the way paying others their labor cost.

Meanwhile, try to clean the dirt up.

Before its run, it will need to be pressure checked if nothing is found with a mechanical inspection that would have caused it to go lean.

Dirty fuel filters, **** fuel lines, loose or torn intake boots, and kinked impulse lines have been known to cause them to run lean.

My buddy was borrowing it when it went down. He says he'll buy whatever kit I want to fix it. Hes a good friend and I hate to make him shell out $200. I see no other choice though.

This is the usual story with the burned up saws. I offer to run the saw for a friend. I don't let a friend just have my saw unless it's Cut4Fun.

A plastic Chinese homeowner saw from the discount store doesn't have enough power to gall itself unless you straight gas it. They only run about half speed to begin with.

But a expensive high performance saw can burn itself up from running it lean. They will seem to run better and better until they quit - never to run again.

I dont let just anyone use my saws. The guy using is who I used to cut with. He and I have cut several cords together. He was in a bind and borrowed my saw.

7900 P&C plus gasket and bearing will run around 220. from memory the 7300 piston is $90 so figure $100 for the piston, gasket and bearing. here is your chance to upgrade even if you foot the bill for half  of a new P&C i think it would be money well spent.

5105H and 6400H in stock
