7900 P&C plus gasket and bearing will run around 220. from memory the 7300 piston is $90 so figure $100 for the piston, gasket and bearing. here is your chance to upgrade even if you foot the bill for half  of a new P&C i think it would be money well spent.
Do you have a number to call to place an order or just go thru your website?

I dont have a pressure testing set up and I check seals with the top off. Batting 100% for that so far and my redneck way.

My problem is getting time right now till I am caught up around here.

To pressure check, the saw has to be all together.

You seal off the exhaust port behind the muffler and between the carb and the boot.

I have a pressure checker if you'll seal it up and bring the saw over. We can connect it up through the impulse line.

ideally you pressure and vac test before any disassembly. get a old inner tube and cut a piece for between the muffler and cylinder and for between the carb and intake. pump up through the impulse hose. cheap mighty vac at autozone is only $20 or so. it only does vacuume which will tell you if you have a leak but be difficult in most cases to find it.

had to modify my post a bit...having one of those days

The cheap MityVac is considered to only do vacuum but with a car vacuum/pressure gauge and a check valve you can do pressure with one too.

The pressure value as said is 7 lbs. Pressure works best for boots and gaskets. You can check with soap bubbles.

Seals are better checked with vacuum. The value is 15" and all seals leak but your test pass-fail is that the saw still has 10" vacuum after 30 sec.

If the truth was known . . .

Most people can pretty much suck close to 15" vacuum. But to use this ability, you would need the above mentioned check valve and automotive vacuum gauge from Harbor Freight.
