new Dolmar 6400 spikes

Dolmar has changed their spikes and they now have holes in them for a roller chain catcher. The stihl one fits perfect  ;D

They appear even bigger now?  Can you post a pic with old on top of new to see the differences. Which looks like many.

Look good!  Gonna need a Redwood tree with some extra thick bark to utilize those!!!!

Glad to see they've gone away from the Buck Rodgers look with those.

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Those are something aren't they?  I was surprised as hell a few weeks ago when my newest saws started coming through with those.

Our local machine shop is making us some smooth ones, and normalish sized ones.

Took me a couple days but I tracked down part numbers and put my order in for 2 dozen sets of them. Dolmar does not have a roller chain catcher though. They put the holes in for one but at this moment they don't have one available or have plans to make one available
