452VL ??
« on: April 16, 2013, 07:08:41 pm »
I was given a 452LV yesterday. at least i think thats what numbers were on it.It was in a friend's grandpa's barn.He passed. They are having an auction.I dropped it off at my saw guys house. It looks to be in good shape besides the broken pull cord. I told him to fix cord and check compression. I did a lil interweb research. It looks to have been produced 1975-1983. I was built in 82 lol. What should I do with this saw?

I got 2 runners on the shelf.  They just hold the shelf down now.

I own the exact same saw except that my saw is a John Deere 50V, a bright yellow saw, which is a re-branded Echo CS-452VL.  Back about 15 or more years ago I contacted Echo to try to find a service manual for my saw and they were kind enough to mail me a photocopy of the CS-351VL, CS-451VL and CS-452VL Service Manual plus a parts list for the Echo CS-452VL saw.  In recent years I scanned the photocopied pages and I have uploaded the file as a PDF file, 15MB in size, to ZippyShare.  You must understand that the manual was scanned from photocopied pages so the quality is not the best but a service manual probably cannot be found elsewhere.  If you want a copy you can download it from ZippyShare here:  http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/69542358/file.html

Tried to download, just got a 351 or JD 40V.  File no longer available.  Can I find this file somewhere else?

Thanks,

Lee

I haven't been on the site for a while but I uploaded the file again on Zippyshare.  Over a period of time if there is no download activity, Zippyshare deletes the file.  This upload should last for about 30 days:  http://www27.zippyshare.com/v/7247470/file.html

On the chance that someone might want the service manual for the EchoCS-351-451-452VL models I've uploaded the file again to Zippyshare.  If 30 days have passed since the last download, the file is automatically deleted.

Saved to HD.

Never know if we might need it down the road.
