First one shown is the muffler from my CS-400.  Second muffler is from a CS-310 or CS-352.  Why the 400 has that restrictor plate is beyond me.  A ONE INCH hole saw fits pretty well in the tube for the cat material, and in the case of the 400 it cut the restrictor to line up with the rest of the tube. You should be able to guess what part gets drilled out of the muffler from here on out.  I opened up the front deflector plate a little bit too.

Mainly, my saws run a lot cooler now, and not much louder which is a benefit in my opinion.
