CS-400 piston
« on: January 07, 2017, 12:50:19 am »
Does the CS-400 share piston design with any other saws? I've been trying to find an aftermarket piston with no luck. Thanks

No, sorry. Echo only.....and it's a piston and barrel kit, not just a piston I'm afraid.

I was afraid of that. Its a little surprising, considering the popularity of the saw and all the problems folks have getting them lean from the dealer. So far, I've only found the piston kit (wrist pin, clips, etc) on eBay for $55. Hate to put that much in just a piston. I'm going to tear it down and make sure of the cylinder and bottom end before I buy a piston.

A piston kit with ring and wrist pin on SEPW is $40.15. I wouldn't even think of using aftermarket as the OEM is really light and made well.  Steve

Steve, Where can I find SEPW?  I'm going to need a piston for a CS-440 shortly.
Thanks Lee
