cs3400 carb adjustment whoes
« on: April 11, 2012, 11:56:48 pm »
Just purchased a non-running cs3400 with carb problems. Cleaned out the carb&replaced the diaphragm. It runs but the carb has the stupid plastic h/l needle adjustments that are stopping me from making it run correctly. Is this the correct carb as I haven't ran the #'sI yet? If it is right how do I get around these? If its not what other carbs are compatible as I have a plethora of parts saws available.  Thanks for any help....

Figured it out....just broke out the plastic pieces to reveal normal needle screws..Removed the excess of the carb housing around these plastic stops with a cutoff wheel, added tension springs to the needles &adjusted it out. Runs great!
