Chainsaw Repair

Is the 290 the rear handle model 280?  If its an evl model with the electronic ignition then it would be after 1980.  Looks like the 302 was phased out around 1983 then the 290 may have been the replacement model?

Seems like echo was trying to gain market share with different models all around the same size.  The cs-315 was a points model in around that time too. 

Mike Acres site says the 300evl came out in 1988, so the 290 was probably made for 5-6 years 83-88?
