I have had a 3000,3400,330&360 @ different times and liked each of the 2 styles but had dislikes as well.  The 3000 style were very compact, handled well & easier to tune but lacked rpm/cutting speed when adjusted correctly. The 330t style had excellent power/speed with better controls (kill choke start all being one)  but seemed finicky to tune and also seemed bulky due to the what seemed to me excessive plastic.  On another note,  I am currently fixing up a dolmar 3300th (tanaka 3301) and although not exactly the same it seems to share many similar traits to the 3000/3400.....
