I use the Stihl MS 250/025 for pruning. They are actually too big and heavy for reaching. I keep a 025 and a 7900 handy in the garage in case of storm damage.

I had a big pine top blow onto the driveway last January and I cut it up with the 346XP.

I got along OK with a Mac 3214 for what it was especially after the muffler mod but didn't like the Mini Mac 10 ever.

Though it was more of a firewood saw, I used the Homelite XL150 many years for pruning from the ground until my hands couldn't stand the vibration anymore.

Working off a ladder is difficult at best and should never be done with a two hand saw.

I suppose that's where a top handle comes into play? 10"/12" bar category. A 14" seems huge on a top handle?
