No idea on the tensioner.  Never worked on one.

FWIW, The 5500 was offered with a 24 inch bar using .325 skip chain.  I wonder how that set up would work on your 6700?  6700 recoil, top cover (plug in air filter) and clutch cover are the same as gray 5500.  5500 has a 1mm shorter stroke over the 6700 so the cases should also be the same.  5500/6700 Bore and stroke 46x33 vs 50x34.  May be just the difference in piston height or skirt length or it may be a different crank altogether.

Muffler modded the echo 6700 67cc.  Feels alittle better in the cuts.

Have poulan 415  65cc and a friend has husky 365 special 65cc and husky 362xp 63cc  I could compare to using same chain on all.

We ran the Echo 67cc against the Dolmar 6800i.

The Echo was a lower RPM torquer with a 8 pin rim and the higher rpm Dolmar had a 7 pin. The cuts were pretty close though.

The Echo is a likable woods saw

I recall running the older echo 702 70cc against the dolmar 6800i.  Not the echo 6700, Jim.

702 orange with horizontal cyl and the 6700 is a grey saw with vertical  style cyl.

Found another 670 clutch cover with side tensioner and brake handle to put on the 6700.
Now I have a extra nicer 670 clutch cover without brake handle and a 6700 clutch cover missing bottom 3rd and no side tensioner.

Howdy! First post over here.
my next project is a straight gassed cs 670. Does anyone know where i can find a piston or P/C if I cannot clean up this cylinder?
Can/should I use 6700 or 680parts?
I would prefer to use OEM if possible .
I have looked on fee bay, but was wondering if there are better options.
Thanks!

Jeff
