aaaaaaaalriiight! here's some pics :)

you can see the difference in height here:

not a great pic, however you can see the difference in the exh, port width. older= wider.

the intake port is the same size.

the windows are also slightly different. the new piston is a little more open:

skirt width and length are the same. the windows on the new piston are swept back slightly and seem to match up pretty good with the ports in the cylinder.

the cylinder has a couple of differences, the main one being the transfers, they are now split and more square:

as you can see, there was some more transfer from the piston ;)

the other difference is in the combustion chamber. the old style has an extra 5/8" wide by 1/8" deep bowl machined into the top chamber:

can't see it to well but it is there.

the new one doesn't have it. other than that, the chamber looks to be the same size.

while i was hard at work taking pics and such, bullet was looking through the bailey's catalog. he loves looking at the saw parts, thats until a dog food commercial comes on t.v.  :)

just don't ask him to take notes. all you have on the paper is woof bark snarle whine whine woof bark. still trying to figure out how to translate that. ;D

when I grow up, i wanna be an adult.

hey no problem cut! just make sure to make the check out to meeeeee! ;D
i also forgot to mention, the timing seems to be pretty close to the original. i didn't degree it, i just stuck the vernier in and measured where everything is. didn't write anything down, just wanted to see what they have been playing with.
this topend will be going on as per stock save for the 18thou i had turned off the bottom this morning. we'll see wher the numbers are at and run it as is before going and doing anything. i'd like to see where this thing runs at sort of stock. :)
now to find a 32" 058 bar for it. ;)
