Some very cool info  @chy_farm linked in the echo 651 twin thread. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwiki.motorsaegen-portal.de%2Fwiki%2FEcho-Kioritz_Motors%25C3%25A4gen

Echo Kioritz Shindaiwa Yamabiko

offered as the Japanese Kioritz Group chainsaws in the US, they created there the Echo brand.

1971 Name change: Kyoritsu Noki Company Ltd. to KIORITZ CORPORATION

Since 2009, Echo and Shindaiwa cooperate branded Yamabiko.

Warning:

also echo has awarded nearly identical model names with very different saws.

That will always interesting with wear and tear parts, as well as setting data.

Example: CS 400, there are even in 3 variants?

Type Code:

CS = chainsaw, the first two digits describe about the displacement - more than 100cc the first three.

Saws with 3 or 4-digit model numbers were at times very similar in structure, with the same first three digits in different sales areas at the start.

When ordering spare parts shortages because sometimes something goes, even at different E numbers.

This is not supported by all regional offices. But we know this also from other manufacturers.

With four-digit model number and deviating 3rd or 4th digit only little things have been modified?

T either twin or top handle.

C is 2014 carving in the model name.

ES => Easy Start

So far only a few information found with the echoes that have the suffix ".csv". In a CSV 451 on a picture the color compared to other echoes was striking down "echo-red" and above the "housing cover" and the carburettor cover gray. In the attached BDA CSV 391 and CSV 451 described together. Most of CSV, there should be with Walbro carburetors.

Echo was older models no engine power!

Later, the performance have measured on the chain.

Power supply specifications? submitted by one side, the otherwise showed significantly different from other sites data.

Result: saws from other manufacturers, the measure without cutting attachment, see the paper better.

The data and rounding errors may occur because of metric data in US-like data (inch, inch, etc) and was converted inversely.

Production period only dare.
