so its sucking all the palm fines in through the fly wheel instead of clean air....why it stays cleaner cutting normal branches....Sooooo when we going to see the cat muffler bypass?

I don't know where his fines are coming from. 

There are two layers of SS under the bottom deflector.   Drill threw both to bypass cat.  I already welded it since this test deflector was screwed on so can't really see much now.

my fines are getting in the air filter... I will try the grease trick.

the last one is inside the filter... i do think the grease will help.... unfortunately echo is asking me to bring my saw to my dealer so they can try to figure it out... i it pulls stuff in when you shave a palm close to recoil cover  mine was covered in chit....i am thinking/hoping  the grease will keep fines out of the inside of the air filter....
