Echo CS 346 Air shooting out of my gas cap?

It was running good for a while, then when I shut it off it was hard to start, would run for 20-30 seconds and die, I get it going and it would run OK until I turned it off, I checked the gas and when I opened the cap a rush of air came out, did that 2 times , I think that means something what is it?
I didn't try to do anything with it, I was busy, got tired of pulling on it, so I just went and got a different saw

That much pressure in the tank can open the metering needle in the carburetor an cause flooding.  Check the vent on the tank

thanks I am new to this so I looked at the IPL so I kind of know what I am looking for just don't know exactly where it is.
So it is just a line that comes out of the tank somewhere and ends with a valve doohickey on the end  right?

That's it. Some saws will have a very simple vent design such as a grub screw in a fuel line or a duckbill type rubber valve. Newer saws use a vent design that minimizes gas vapor to the atmosphere.
