Chainsaw Repair

I still don't know how I'll like this older JD40V (351) as I'm still waiting for some O rings for the oiler.  I didn't want to run it in wood without good oiling.  It might be a little heavy being all metal but they certainly are very well made.  I'll let you know how well it runs and cuts once the O rings arrive. I'll put either a 14 or 16" bar running lopro (91) chain.  That's what was on it when picked up.

I also have a CS-520 that I've had for a couple of years and really like it with a 20" bar.  My newly obtained cs440 is waiting for a chain brake/clutch cover which was missing when I bought it for $45.00.  It shows very little use.  I've got a Makita 18: bar for it, just need to get a .325 58 guage chain.

The only MM I've done on the 520 and 440 is to pry open the slotted opening in the muffler.  may do some more serious work later.
