Echo cs 400 primer bulb
« on: February 01, 2016, 11:54:07 pm »
Couple days ago I thought the saw was running out of gas so I quit for the day, next day while filling it with gas I noticed it actually wasn't empty.  So after filling it when I press the primer bulb it sort of whistles, never did that before so I take the cover off to take a closer look, one of the hoses for the primer had come off and that's why it whistled every time I pressed the primer,  using a needle nose pliers I managed to slip the hose back on and it runs fine now but I'm wondering if the hose will stay on, it sure doesn't fit snug at all, seems awfully loose.  I'm curious to hear if anyone else has had any experience with this issue ?

sometimes if there is enough slack you can cut off 1/8 inch of the line seating deeper will tighten it up.  Some fuel  line softens with age. Some expands some shrinks. I have been testing stens true blue so far I am pleased with it.

Thanks for your reply Dan !    The saw is still covered under the Echo 5 year warranty so if it happens again I might have a dealer take a look at it.  I'm still curious if anyone else has had this same primer bulb hose issue ?
