I just picked up a 340 TH for $50 PHO plus shipping.  Everything I read has been good.

I'd jump on it. I have one that I bought in that price range. I consider It a good buy. Sometimes when I'm looking at a quality used saw in the condition you describe I ask myself, how much more would a new, comparable unit cost? Often times this will make the decision easy, one way or the other. Lot of other factors to. In my particular case, since I have one already and like it, I'd buy a good used one for parts if nothing else.
