20" GB bar .050 69DL  63ps 3/8 7pin and it was blowing through 16" pine like crazy. Yellow southern pine . Still a tad rich I can lean her out but I like it to four stroke immediately with no load. Has anyone ever played with timing on these echos?? Just wondering how they respond.....

I have always read echo respond to muffler modding well to be so clogged up from factory.

Cool on 69dl being dead on fit.

Just so you know. These GB's arbor bars etc are not near as good compared to the real GB made bars (Gb pro top GB Ti ).  Dont use these cheaper made bars to compare to the real GB is all I am saying.

I bought a bunch of the cheapo GB bars for ms200 & 201's. Climbing saws, Tip bearing blew out of all the bars in a week. Crap product....

Sorry to hear about the bearings. I'll keep that in mind and grease them more often.... ;)

this was what i wanted to know.... i may as well order a narrow kerf bar and chain from baileys they show an 18 inch that fits a cs 500p so i am sure it will work on the cs 490....i was thinking i could slap a different rim and a cs 400 18 inch bar and it would scream... but i will take mountain lakes word its not worth much speed.... think its like 34 bux plus shipping.... heck i may see how the stock 20 will do after i open the muffler up.....thanks CR for the help... took alot of the leg work out for me.... thanks!
