Nut/Bolt Torque
« on: September 05, 2016, 03:54:38 pm »
There is only one item on a chainsaw that I consider needing to be torqued.
That is the flywheel nut.
Can anyone tell me what torque is needed for the flywheel nut  on a red Echo CS330t?

I just snug them down.  Never checked any with a torque wrench.

Yeah that the way I have done it for over 50 years. Never had one come loose ---but why take the chance when I have a 3/8 calibrated Armstrong wrench.
I have also replace a lot of crankshafts that were twisted off from over tightening and replaced a few coils and other items when they came loose!
