I did some work to my 038 Magnum and my 044, and the little ECHO was having a hard time cutting, rings were worn and compression was down, so when I got a Wicked Work saw kit fo rmy 044, I looked it over and decided to open up the 330 EVL and give her a little more power, started opening up the ports a little at first, put in Cabers, got some advice from Mastermind and Terry, and just kept using the 330 and going back in. Finally I sent the cylinder to Terry for a squish and base cut, got it back and I kept using her and going back in. I got a little carried away on the transfers, and ended up putting a base gasket back on her to give me a little more blowdown ....... then finally liked the way she ran with the above numbers.

Stock - she would run 9000 rpm's unloaded with a muffler mod
Now - she holds 9000 rpm in the cut with the bar buried and me pressing on her in some real hard hickory.

Not bad for 33 cc's ...?!
