Echo mods?
« on: October 22, 2017, 06:08:59 pm »
I have 360T, CS345, and CS450.
Have owned them since 2005 and 2006.
No complaints.

What mods could/should I make to them?

Great saws, but I've always been open to a little hotrodding.

I'm guessing cut the deflector and add a second outlet port to the muffler, and remove the limiter caps on the H and L screws to allow more screw adjustment?

Are there any other specific muffler mods I should make?
I don't know it 2005-2006 models had cats in the muff or not.

BTW, thanks for the reply.

Yes a muff modd for sure which really helps.  Then set it up with a .325 nk chain , with both you wont believe the difference, should cut close to twice as fast as stock.  Also I put  a 3/8 p 6 tooth setup on one of my CS450 saws that really cut good but the sprocket off a CS400 is a little too wide and has to be machined or ground off some. Can I run the narrow kerf chain with stock bar and drive sprocket?

You would need a nk bar , the drive sprocket will work.   Steve

I've run a regular. 325 chain on a NK bar with no problems.
NK  chain on a regular .325-.050 bar, would be a problem when the cutters are filed back half length not allowing kerf clearance.

OK. Thanks for the info.

So, are there any big bore kits, or interchangeable jugs/slugs available for the CS-450?
Or, for the CS-345/346 and CS-360T?
