Hi guys, Art here. I am a logger/Efco dealer in Nova Scotia, Canada. Been a logger for almost 30 years. Started selling Efco products a year ago. Been impressed with a few Efco models. Will put up some updates on different models I have been testing.

In my market they sell for $300 less than a 346. They come with a 5 year consumer/2 year pro warranty. Power wise they are a torque saw. To me they feel like the old Sachs Dolmar 115si in terms of power.

I have started a long term test on one. I am shooting for 1000 tanks through it. Sitting at 426 now. Will continue when winter is over. One thing I don't like about Efco is that they offer no heated handle models.

The 152 when set at 13,000-13,500 will block with a 346 (45cc). Try to turn the 152 in the 14,500 range and power drops off.

The 152 is not listed as a pro saw, but is capable of pro work.

I am going to port the test saw soon.

There seems to be a fair amount of interest in the Efco lineup.  I've yet to tear into one, but they look like a decent product, especially for the price.

I am sure that you could get more out of one than I can, but I have to start porting somewhere.

Art I was close as I have been to a Efco today.  I got a Efco box in the mail with a used orange saw in it.  ;) ;D

efco is oleomac. italian chainsaws (they actually construct the john deere chainsaws).
oleomac was known years ago in the states as Olympic or Spartan.
152 is a semiprofessional chainsaw but with construction specify proper of the professional lines.
it is wery used in italy e very popular.
you're welcome to visit my italian forum all about chainsaws and bruscutters:

Would an Efco 152 be similar to a Husky 353 / Jonsered 2152 in construction, and power/torque? IT looks like they are running about 15 - 20% cheaper than the Husky 353.
