You did a nice job on that combustion chamber.  Im curious about the edge where it meets the top on these cylinders.  When you cut .080 out of that area, how has the cylinder held up against heat?

Not much more than a tenth of an inch of honed chrome above where the piston normally stops on most I've worked on.  Hones don't go all the way to the squish band so there can be an area of smaller dia bore towards the top.

Good thing the 288 is a single ring that's low on the piston.
