John Deere CS-36
« on: February 05, 2015, 06:36:55 pm »
I'm picking up one of these and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.
I do have a JD CS56 (Efco156) and really like it, specially for only $25.00

Any feedback appreciated

Lee

Should have read John Deere CS-36  rather than CS136.

I'm looking for a clutch spring for this little saw and Efco USA are ignoring my messages. I do have a part #, just not with me today.
Anybody know of a dealer who could source one and post it to me in Canada? This is an Efco 936/40 in John Deere colours.

Many thanks

Lee

Well I had a very kind offer from DSS PEI Canada, who had a CS36 that had been run over and he was able to supply the parts That I needed plus an extra one or two for the price of shipping.  This is a great hobby with some great people willing to help you out.  Will add pics when done.

Got the parts that DSS sent and put back together started right up! Pig rich so tried adjusting carb now won't start. I need to go through the carb with new kit.  It has a very nice 18" JD bar with replaceable tip in Lopro 3/8th. Far too much for a 36cc saw IMO but I've not had it in wood yet.
