MT3600 carb
« on: May 06, 2011, 11:46:47 am »
Having carb issues on a MT3600.  Running a Zama with a throttle shaft operated variable fuel adjustment (or at least that is my best guess).  Saw starts with the same symptoms of a **** fuel line.  Starts on choke but will not run long or idle.  Fuel is pumping and line is good.  Any tricks to these?  Any other options to get a way from this set up?

I can't help here. I have never brought a 3600 in. From looking at the IPL the 3700 has a different carb setup.

Thanks, will check into that.  Have never seen  carb set up like this one.  Can't figure what the gain would be from the variable"valve" fuel control.  The low end is a fixed jet but high is adjustable  ::)

The IPL I have for the 3600 shows carb with both H/L adjustable.

Thanks for the link.   It does have a "screw" on the low end but when removed you can see that it is a fixed jet in place of a needle.  Never seen any thing like it.  Will get a pic.
