Collector 1963 Canadien 275-125cc
« on: September 21, 2015, 12:26:47 pm »
I have this saw,it is in excellent condition, with some spare parts. I also have complete service and overhaul manual for it I can supply. It is in need of restoration but all the components are in very good shape,a new piston and rings included, also an electronic ignition module to replace the points and condensor if desired. A photo and description exists on the Acres collector site under PM (Power Machine)Canadien. Serious offers only please.

Yes sir it sure is! Who owns the one in the photo, you?
I have heard some of the old Canadiens running,a beautiful low growl,I fixed some in my early days but not a big 275. I saw one apart in a bucket one day and decided to get one someday. I was very lucky to find this example.
I was intending to turn it into an exibition hotsaw,it has so many great design features that I honestly believe I can build it to kick the butts of 088's and 3120's. But unfortunately I may have to sell it if I get a decent offer.
Have you got to run one of these beasts?

Hard to believe but it feels lighter than an 090.
It has a removable head, cast iron sleeve,Oversize pistons were available. It also has 6 transfer ports and unusual "Tunnels" from the crankcase to feed the ports. T
They were built by Bristol Aero Industries in Vancouver.
One day in Victoria I went to a small machine shop to have some work done on my 090 hotsaw, and the older guy said he had a wealth of new Canadien parts from when the factory closed. They didn't interest me then, and I fear the old guy may be gone now...

Thanks for your info,I'm sorry I don't know your name...
Do you think you could somehow find out how I can contact the guy in Australia? A guy wants to buy the saw but wants a muffler for it...
Is there somewhere on this site I can advertise I need a muffler for it?
Thanks,
Mike

Wanted section right under for sale section.

No clue, try emailing Mike through his site to see if he knows how to get hold of that owner. Had to have his email to get pics to post.

I'm Kevin by the way.
