A way to close 'For Sale' and 'Wanted' ads

Is there a way to close/delete these threads when the item has been sold or purchased? It would seem that bothering the moderators to do this is kind of a waste.

In the past, to simply state that the item is sold or no longer available, has worked OK in the past.

I noticed last night that a fellow moderator also "locked" his thread when he sold the items.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

Just let  me or one of the mods know which ones to lock.  I used to let folks that started their own threads lock them till one guy abused it and started locking threads in chainsaw boards.

Which threads in for sale you need locked?  Put SOLD as last post and I will lock them up.
