(Thanks for letting some of us idiots stay, just to watch!)

Philbert

I'm just amazed how much quicker it is to get a answer to a new question there.   I think with having bunch of dealers there helps with that too.

I've tested my theory on it a couple times. Post on 3 forums and there.  FB CR group 100x faster.
Dont even ask questions on about 10 forums as never get much info from them LOL.

I think this is due to how the younger generation has  went that direction for everything. Wanting it at their finger tips.

Faster is not always better!

I don't mean this in a snarkey way.  When you get to know other participants in a forum like this, you can develop the ability to understand / interpret / appreciate / filter their comments in a useful way.  A quick, "Should have bought a STIHL", or, "Chain must be the wrong pitch", from someone you don't know, and who clearly has not read the preceding comments in that thread, is not very helpful.

I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the comments and input posted in this forum.  I heavily filter most of the FB posts. JMHO.

For a lot of guys on the Internet, "Should have bought a STIHL!" IS their repair advice, regardless of the question!

True! Not just on FB tho prevalent answer on other forums too.  I've busted chops on other Forums for their stupid posts when someone is looking for answers.  Did no good but I felt better.  That's why I have a high regard for our site.  BS can play on Sawhogs and elsewhere.  We truly are here to help.

Sounds like Facebook has all the chainsaw repair action. I have thought about joining FB a couple of times. But every time I tell my wife I am thinking of joining. She tells me that I shouldn't and it's the devil. LOL. Maybe I should join the chainsaw repair group under her name under her user name.
