How to upload pre formatted posts?
« on: December 18, 2013, 11:48:15 am »
I owe the site a tutorial on using Husqvarna factory tools to split the case, install new bearings and seals then refit the crank to the case.

I created this using Microsoft word because of the ease of formatting, embedding pictures and the like not to mention the difficulty creating a complex post on line. I do not have the capability to make a video! So I have it completed and find that I cannot figure out if I am allowed to, or how to put the contents of the document into one or more posts.

I am also in the midst of creating another one on a 261 to modified 262XP and am creating it the same way.

I would think you could just put the link you have in thread.  But I'm not so smart on this stuff.

If you are embedding, here is all I know. Allowed file types: doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 1600KB, maximum individual size 400KB

Now I can TEMP open door and embed bigger files myself if needed.   I pay for the space needed for pics, embedding etc out of my pocket.  Thats why 400kb per pic or embed. But like I said I can and do open up TEMP for big files with good shared info.

Just let me know.

OK, cool did not realize I could use .doc files. I will break it up into multiple files <400KB and do as many groups of four per post until I get it all up there.

Thank you!

See I would have not even known how to break things up like that.

I can change settings to allow more attachments per post too. Let me know what you need and I can fix that temporally too.  Like 12 or so per page  ;)

While I was in there making space to upload the poulan service manual today.  I changed it to 8 attachments per post now.   ;)
