Hey Guys,

I am the new one. Just found this board via google.
At least two pictures I took are already linked in here by "ldyflight"  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/efco/oleo-mac-985hd-oleo-mac-999f/

so I just joined  ;)

I am from Germany, live in California at the moment, Sachs-Dolmar is my favourite.

best, Chris

Enjoy the site. Please feel free to contribute.

I have a few Dolmars myself.

I had a couple model airplane engines that use the Dolmar 111 type piston and cylinder. I showed one to the local Dolmar dealer and he gave me a 111i that had been under the work bench several years. I eventually put a new carb on it. It runs great. I bought a used 6000i that was in nice shape and it is a real sweet heart.

Then I have a 5105 and a couple 7900's.

Hiiya gents.  Stumbled upon this board while doing a google search for some saw info.  Realized that the background picture for the home page looked to be from a recent GTG that I've read about somewhere.....  I also recognized some names from that same somewhere....:D

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Welcome aboard and feel free to share the knowledge.

Yep I was at that Poulan GTG at Gregg's place (he also lives down the road from me about a hour) and the pics are in the event section here.
