Super XL Clutch
« on: December 08, 2012, 11:07:00 am »
Hi, just picked up this saw.Sprocket turns all the time even at idle. OK, so I take off the clutch drum, I was surprised to find the nut to be right hand thread. Then I find the clutch assy. loose. I turned it off by hand!!! (left hand thread) Needle bearing in drum is not moving freely but a little lube and it seems fine. So, I don't see anything else wrong. Any recomendations on reassembly? Lubrication on the clutch spring assembly? Seems like an easy fix at this point.....Too easy.....I'm suspicious that something is missing here. Thanks, Ed
