Finger points to impulse.  Fuel is on the inner side of the carb box.  Inspect that boot, they are thin and a weak point.  Still available through Ryobi.

well duh! shudda studied my ipl a bit better. the boot is obviously the boot. sorry guys.
now for a less &()++^&^ question - when i rebuilt my 330 i thought i was breaking my saw to disassemble for replacement of the boot. i know its not so but still.....
is the replacement of the 410 boot anywhere near as weird as for the 330?
thanks, jerry
