Homelite 150 shutting off?

I have been using my uncles chainsaw and I want to try to fix it before giving it back to him, everytime I start it up it runs but as soon as you let off the trigger it stalls out, there is an empty hole where the idle adjustment is supposed to be and im not sure if I take the casing off if there will be a way to adjust it from inside?
