John Deere owned Homelite for a short while.

The J3816R is a Homelite

I have a John Deere 30cc Weed whacker and it is a Homelite and looks like my Homelite Weed whacker. The parts interchange.

Here's a Homelite I had one time. It's the same era as yours only a little bigger at 45cc and 18". It even has a box just like yours. Homelite went by UTC codes.

I also had another 45cc Homelite that was just a little older. I always had a problem with just what those were called?

Who all made saws for JD?

I can remember Echo, Homelite, Efco. Any others?

Remington made some in the 70's, I think they offered the PL-4 in green and yellow.

That is a Remington, either NOS or very nicely restored.
