162 SE
« on: August 01, 2016, 09:36:16 am »
Starter dawgs are bad on this saw my favorite. I've looked at it and It looks to me as if the pins that hold the dawgs in place are pressed in.
Any one know if this is correct?

They are pressed in take a punch and drive them out from the back side of flywheel.  Replace needed parts and drive them back in with a hammer.

I've got a 162SE as well.  Haven't done anything with it since a good friend gave it to me.  Even still has an intact and functional chainbrake clutch cover.  Interesting to check out the first saw of this series.  Just about everything is magnesium on 'em.  Very little plastic...

My 162 does not have a chain brake on it.
