I posted the above pic in another 2100 p thread to see if anyone recognize it.

Turtle might be onto something.  = looks like the one grits&gravy got that was a mahle.

That "Mahle" piston has me suspicious.  Box and packaging look similar to what Little Red Barn has been shilling for a while (with the exception of the "Original Mahle" lettering.

There's no damn way that Mahle would be selling pistons to an outfit that sells out of Singapore too.

LRB has sold pistons sourced from factories in Taiwan, Mainland China, and India IIRC....

Shaun brought that up about that mahle one just being a fake copy like the one I showed. Except it is being sold as a mahle.

scarr = I was referring to the ones Turtle bought. China made copies are getting sneakier every day. They even get the marking and boxing correct.

Found grits and gravy post on the aftermarket  mahle pistons with the meteor price.  Pics above.

Amazing how they look just like that sing cheap one I found.

GG = In my quest for an episan 2101xp piston I ordered a couple that I only had pictures of which looked like episan, this was just a gamble as I am getting kind of desperate.. Once they got dropped off by the mailman they were in fact not episan, but mahle brand... They look to be better quality than any other AM piston I have ever purchased, I assume this is due to the fact that mahle built quite a bit of the big name OEM stuff..

I only purchased 2 which was all they had on the shelf, but I am working on trying to purchase more through this same seller.

If anyone on here is interested in buying one let me know and I will try to get as many as I can.

If I can in fact get more I will reship them at my cost to any needing however many they need... Cost is on par with meteor but might get cheaper with a big buy.

The one I found in sing

They might be chicom but they do look like decent quality castings. I'd give one a shot.

The ones in sing show 5 in stock and $33 shipping for all 5 or $7 for 1.  So $20 total to check one out to try.

I think the 2 GG bought are the 2 bought from the 15 on june 24 2 bought together. They do all appear to be the same piston IMO.  If I was into the 2100 I would try one myself too. In a stock saw for sure.

I have been trying stuff like these before and some still holding up. Even though I know better to run their rings and circlips. I did just to see. So far so  good for  firewood cutting use.

$15 to my door 066 piston I have been using as compete set.  Doing same thing with a BB372 piston.
