Not outside paint I was cleaning inside the fuel tank.  The paint lifted in the gas cap hole.  When I dumped the acetone out of the fuel tank it also took the finish off the gas tank/handle and the metal starter where it dripped/splashed.  I usually use kerosene in my parts washer to clean saws.
