I have a chance at buying a pair of these. Seller says pistons are scored. I don't know Husqvarna saws so I'd like insight from those of you who have used and worked on this saw. Thank you

Well a 254XP is a fine small saw, built to meet and operate at professional levels. Some of the early ones are rare. OEM parts to repair are available but expensive. Came out in the mid 1980s and remained in production until at least 2001. Very easy and straight forward to work on like all the saws in that family. People that have them tend to hold on to them, so you don't see them come up too often but a pair from the same owner, well I have never run into that. Get, repair and run them, they will put a smile on your face!
