Any one ever stuff a Stihl 064 piston in a 272? Did it run better? I did one today but haven't had time to do anything but get it running

When you cut with it, make us a video?

Throw a wheel on it and see what the numbers are. Might not be a bad combination

Never ran that combo.

Had a 064 in a 372 BB and a 038 Mag in a 372 BB though. Neither were stock though.

Good video. That's not a 064 piston. They had 2 rings.

Came out of a "Meteor" brand box for a 064

But when I looked on eBay, they showed the 2 ring set up for the 064 on the pics ..so I'm hoping I actually had a 064 piston IN that box! So now I'm not certain what it is.... deleted until I sort that out.. :(

SO pulled it apart and stuck the piston that came with the kit in. Experiment over... now its a 670 with a Mako 272 top end. It runs better as that mystery piston build was a little lazy picking up RPM's. Will run it with a 272 and 61/272 tomorrow. I'll re cut that video to just squish & a 272/670 blend & scrap the different piston concept...

Yeah all the meteor 064 Pistons I've had were dual rings. Could be a dolmar piston being single ring.

New re-edited video of the Jonsered 670 redo with the Mako 272 style cylinder & piston
