What is everyone's thoughts on the husky 272? Any known common issues with them? Also how do they compare to the 372?

No issues....The 272 is a solid saw built on the proven pedigree of the 61, 266, etc.!

The 372 has a slight edge on power, and better AV......I would take a 272 logging tomorrow though.

The 272 will handle a little better because of the outboard clutch - but all the other categories go to the 372.

Troll is correct, the 272 is a fine saw in its own right and it is a little better handling unit in certain situations because it is packaged more compactly. Therefore it is very good in limbing situations.

What was a good price, I saw one in a pawn shop for $250, seemed to have good compression and in decent shape.   Steve

biggest thing you will find is the 372 has more torque than the 272 as the 372 has a longer stroke than the 272, I have had lots of 272's but they always seem to end up on alcohol with a pipe on them  ;D
