 No luck with the pictures with the phone ??? I will try the camera sometime.

 The serial # is 1160836. Can anyone tell me when the saw was made or anything else from the # that may be interesting.

biggest thing you will find is the 372 has more torque than the 272 as the 372 has a longer stroke than the 272, I have had lots of 272's but they always seem to end up on alcohol with a pipe on them  ;D

and they are the best in the business.....Simon needs stroked 81cc to beat you...372;s with double ring at that

Troll is correct, the 272 is a fine saw in its own right and it is a little better handling unit in certain situations because it is packaged more compactly. Therefore it is very good in limbing situations.
Yes the 272XP is compact versus the 372 and even the 562.
Here's 2 pics comparing my 562XP and 272XP. The 562 is actually longer then the 272.
BTW both saws have the outboard clutch, notice the good centered b/c on both in the above view photo.
