3120 big bore kit
« on: July 02, 2013, 06:48:21 pm »
Well fellas as they don't love me anymore at aborting.com jealousey is a pain I know I have purchased the Varney 3120 cylinder assy to bolt to my rebuilt 3120 ... yes I may have paid too much in your eyes but hey its done and now being rebored and a new piston supplied hopefully to interest a few who like to see a little history preserved

I'm a idiot so I removed all my pics

The cylinder is due here in a few weeks should work out to be an interesting project

McBob

I used to think the 66mm bore was big. Now I am hearing about 72mm bore on the 48mm stroke saws.  That was a new one to me but trust in who told me.

Just trying to figure out this 72mm. Wonder if maybe it was a cast cylinder or  ??

I figured that William, I remember Chauncey as a blondish haired guy........I never met him personally though. The guy was ahead of his time with old school casting know how.
