I know when I tested my black coil on my older stock 3120 it started bumping limiter at 10500.

I heard of the newer ones in the 9600 that folks were complaining about. I also heard of the ones that were in the 12000 limit too.

Just checked and mine has a Green coil the numbers on it are;

49 110 01
5440188-01
W36/08

i believe it is limited at 9000 but don't have RPM Gauge.

Also the number on the flywheel is;

5018950-02
070806

The tag on saw says

965 96 07-00
s/n 09 1900149

I believe this saw is an 2007 model but not sure.

I used to have one with a 60in bar on it that I sold oh maybe 15 years ago. It was only used when we had to jack big timber on bad ground. I put a 262xp coil in mine and JB'ed the high speed jet and drilled a smaller hole. It was maybe a third smaller can't remember the exact size. It just had a mild muff mod, it pulled the 60 well with fullskip 3/8ths..  I hated 404 because I did a lot of boring cutting jackseats...

On the above post I meant the high speed jet not the main.... sorry guy I guess iv been working to hard..

Installed a new AM coil for 272 today. Saw starts runs and idles. Revs up great, no limiter. Did not run it long as when I checked plug it is running a little lean. Will measure rpm tomorrow after I decide how much to open up the high speed jet.
The biggest  problem right now is plug wire is too short, any suggestions on the best way to lengthen?

I cant remember. But does the 272 lead just unscrew like the others?  If so  unscrew and put on longer lead.

This is the AM coil that I got , I was expecting made in China but this one appears to be made in Italy.  Anyone used these before?
